Reflection & Goal Setting
I ended up completely off the wagon this weekend. I need to reevaluate my goals. I need to break down exactly what I want - not just "I want to lose weight" but more like why. Originally my motivation was that I wanted to quit my job to become a PT so I knew I needed to be my own advertisement. It worked well. I would show restraint when faced with temptation because I would look at the bigger picture! So now I need to find a new motivation. I need to find a reason that will stop me putting the spoon in the Nutella and going over my macros. 😳
I want a remarkable body. I want to feel amazing! I want abs and I want strong glutes and hamstrings. Obviously they are aesthetically pleasing and some people might say there is more to life than abs but I see them as more than that. They are a symbol of hard work and dedication... Of self-control and self-discipline.
I never knew if I would like to compete or not so I knew this weekend would help me make up my mind. I had such an amazing time at #RIBBF and I was blown away by the competitors! Each and every one of them are winners, as corny as that sounds! I don't know if I would have the discipline and dedication for the prep. At the moment, I don't think it is for me but I'm not ruling it out! 😏
I think what I would like to do is to book a photo shoot for just before Christmas. It would just be for myself to have something to aim for and possibly for my website. I am doing a course in advanced nutrition in The Fitness Institute so I want to test out some of the new methods I'm learning about to get into my best shape ever. It will help me feel great over the festive season and be ready to take 2016 at a sprint. I am going to London the weekend after next with friends and I will be eating and drinking but after that I would have 8-9 weeks "prep". I know if I put my mind to something I can achieve it. I suppose that is why I am putting up here - to make myself accountable! Watch this space for more details...
